Thuringia and Sweden were both central to the Reformation, and Minister-President Bodo Ramelow picked up on this shared heritage during his trip to Sweden to promote Thuringia as an appealing cultural destination. Besides political issues he attended a business lunch organized by the State Development Corporation of Thuringia (LEG Thüringen) and the German-Swedish Chamber of Commerce. The lunch event attracted 24 representatives from Swedish companies wanting to learn more about investing in Thuringia.
