Erfurt/Brussels - In the period from 2014 to 2020, the state of Thuringia will receive about EUR 1.664 billion in EU funding, announced Jürgen Gnauck, the state’s Minister of German and European Affairs, in January. Further funding will be made available from the state’s own budget. The anticipated ERDF
(European Regional Development Fund) and ESF (European Social Fund) funding will be allocated at a ratio of 70:30. With these commitments in place, Thuringia is holding its own as an attractive part of Europe in which to do business.
