Erfurt - The foreign trade team of LEG Thüringen held an India Business Day on 11 September for Thuringian companies to find out more about trends and opportunities in the Indian market. In attendance were representatives of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), India’s ambassador to Germany, Vija Gokhale, and others with in-depth knowledge of the Indian economy to give valuable tips and hints for those wishing to enter Asia’s most promising market. Prior to the Business Day, a business delegation from India visited companies in Thuringia to find out more about opportunities for investment and cooperation.
Nohra - Automotive supplier Norsystec plans major new developments at its premises in Nordhausen district. The company has invested EUR 6 million since mid-July in building a new production hall and warehouse, its new research center for material and process technology, a testing laboratory and manufacturing equipment. Since the investment, the number of employees has risen from 100 to 160, so production of shift levers, gaskets, and similar parts for customers like VW, Opel, BMW and Daimler is in full swing.
